Statement of Notifiable Matters

This statement of notifiable matters applies to Borg Group Pty Limited ACN 144 730 781 and all of its related bodies corporate and entities from time to time (referred to collectively as “Borg”). It provides information about the entities that we may disclose your credit information to as well as your rights in relation to your credit information.

Note, this statement and accompanying protections only apply where your payment for our goods or services, in full or in part, is deferred for at least 7 days.

This statement complies with the requirements of the Privacy Act 1988 and the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code (CR Code).

Borg maintains relationships with credit reporting bodies including Equifax. We may disclose your credit information to these bodies as well as obtaining credit information and credit eligibility information from these bodies. This information will be used to assess your creditworthiness. Credit reporting bodies may also include the information we disclose in reports to other credit providers to help them assess your creditworthiness.

If you do not meet your payment obligations or commit a serious credit infringement, this information may be disclosed to a credit reporting body in accordance with the requirements of the Privacy Act 1988 and the CR Code.

You have a right to request of a credit reporting body that your information is not used for the purposes of pre-screening of direct marketing by a credit provider.

You have the right to request that the credit reporting body not use or disclose credit reporting information about you, if you believe on reasonable grounds that you have been, or are likely to be, a victim of fraud.

Borg’s Credit Reporting Policy

Borg’s Credit Reporting Policy sets out in detail our policies and procedures in relation to credit reporting including:

  • The types of credit information that will be collected and/or used by Borg;
  • The purposes for which Borg collects, holds, uses and discloses your credit information;
  • How your credit information will be stored;
  • Your right to access or seek correction of your credit information;
  • Your right to complain;
  • Who your information might be disclosed to overseas;
  • How the policy gets updated.

The credit reporting body that we may disclose your information to is Equifax.
